Step-By-Step Instructions for Making The Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe

Start by cutting up the butter into cubes and adding it to a large bowl that is microwave-safe.
Cutting the butter into cubes isn’t absolutely necessary. It just helps melt the butter a little faster and more evenly.
I used a large glass bowl that is heat-safe.

Next, add the peanut butter to the bowl and microwave for about two minutes.
Be sure to take caution because the bowl and ingredients will be very hot.

Stir the ingredients and stick the bowl back in the microwave for another two minutes.
The ingredients will be boiling, so use caution and don’t set the bowl on something that can get ruined.

Once you remove the bowl from the microwave, pour the vanilla extract in and give it all a good stir.

Finally, add the powdered sugar to the bowl and stir until you’ve mixed it all in.
The fudge is going to be very thick, and when you mix it in, it’s almost like you’re folding it in.
I used a spatula to stir everything, and that seemed to work best.

Press the peanut butter mixture into the 8-inch by 8-inch pan lined with parchment paper.
Refrigerate the peanut butter fudge for one to two hours.
I didn’t grease the pan because there is so much butter in the recipe that it is not going to stick.
The parchment paper makes it easy to lift the homemade peanut butter fudge out and cut it on a cutting board. I cut out a rectangular piece and have a little excess parchment paper on the sides to lift the fudge out easily.

The recipe makes such a smooth peanut butter fudge dessert.
The recipe is perfect for Christmas desserts, holiday parties, Thanksgiving, or any time in between.

How Do I Store The Homemade Fudge Recipe?
You can store the fudge at room temperature in an airtight container. You can also keep it in the refrigerator, as well.

Slice the fudge with a sharp knife, and you’ve got the perfect treat.
You can cut the fudge into small squares and get about 25 pieces for a holiday party, or cut them a little larger.
You can also cut the pieces of fudge and place them in gift bags or munch on individual pieces. It’s the easiest recipe and so delicious!
The recipe makes delicious, rich fudge with peanut butter flavor without all the cooking.

I used to receive your newsletter with your great recipes. But I have not received one in quite a while. Is this feature not available any longer. If not, I will greatly miss them!
Hi Patricia! You might have to go in and sign up again. I do still have the newsletter! Thanks for your sweet words!
I have made this several times and it very good, but my powdered sugar always seems to get lumps in it and so I have lumpy fudge. I even tried mixing with a mixer to get them out. I have even sifted the sugar and tried it, to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi Cheryl,
Try using softened butter instead of melted. That might be the issue. Mix the softened butter with the peanut butter and vanilla extract first and then add the powdered sugar and mix.
Let me know how that goes.
I use a large cookie sheet to get smaller bite size pieces for bulk events (also makes it last longer). Just did my second batch made with Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce and am thinking a dark chocolate or milk chocolate drizzle would compliment this recipe. How would you recommend doing this without giving a hard crunch to the soft bite?
Hi Josh,
What a great idea! I would probably microwave chocolate chips with about half a teaspoon of coconut oil to keep it soft. Maybe a tad more. That should help, and not make it too greasy.
@Julie Pollitt, Thanks for responding! What ratio of chocolate chips per half teaspoon would that be, 1 cup per 1/2 teaspoon? (Sorry for the additional question, inexperienced chef here)
Hi Josh! I should have been more specific – sorry! If you have one cup of chocolate chips that you are melting, I would start off with half a teaspoon of coconut oil. You can always add more if it’s not soft enough. I usually melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for about 30 seconds to one minute. Sometimes you still have whole chocolate chips in there, but keep stirring and they will melt. I wouldn’t microwave them much longer than that because the chocolate will get hard. You can add the coconut oil to the chocolate chips before you add them to the microwave and then if you decide you need more, you can add some more. I would do it in increments of half a teaspoon. I tend to take the side of caution. Hope that helps! If you have more questions, ask away!
Easiest delicious Peanut Butter fudge ever. I accidentally used only 1/2 cup butter and when I realized it, I then only used two cups sugar. I did use the correct amounts of Peanut butter and Vanilla. It was still delicious.
Too funny! So glad you liked it! I have messed up fudge and it still tastes great!
Does it matter what wattage the microwave is?
It shouldn’t matter but just keep an eye on it. It might get hotter a little faster or take a few seconds longer.
how many cups is a pound of powder sugar?
Hi Tammy, 3.5 to 4 when unsifted and about 4.5 when sifted. Hope that helps!
