Cream cheese brownies might just be one of the best desserts I’ve eaten. They are amazingly moist, dense, chocolatey, and very decadent.
Homemade Brownies with Cream Cheese

The cream cheese adds a creamy flavor to the already wonderful taste.
I use this homemade brownie recipe for a lot of different types of brownies, such as peanut butter swirl brownies, pecan pie brownies, or buckeye brownies with sweetened condensed milk.
I’ve brought several of these different brownie recipes to the kid’s school, church events, and even the kid’s tutoring center and they all loved them.

- Next, add the sugar and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Add the eggs, one-at-a-time, and mix well.
- Pour the flour mixture into the brownie batter and mix until well blended.
- In a small bowl, add the chocolate chips and flour and toss. Add the chips to the brownie batter and mix them in.

- In a medium-sized bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownies.
- Finally, spread the rest of the brownie mixture over the cream cheese and take a knife to swirl the two mixtures.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Homemade Brownie Mixture

Start by adding the flour, cocoa, and salt to a sifter. Sift the ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and set aside.

In a large bowl, add the sugar.

Pour the melted butter into the bowl and mix the two ingredients together.

Next, add the vanilla extract.

Add the flour mixture to the bowl and mix well.

In a small bowl, add the chocolate chips and flour and toss.
Coating the chocolate chips will help keep them from sinking to the bottom of the batter.

Spread half of the brownie batter into a 9″ x 13″ greased baking dish and set aside.
Cream Cheese Mixture

Add the softened cream cheese to a medium-sized bowl.

Next, add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract and mix well.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownies. Then, spread the rest of the brownie batter over the top.

Run a knife through the batter to get a swirl effect.

Bake the cream cheese brownies for about 35-minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Testing the brownies:
- For more moist and fudgy-type brownies, a little bit of batter will be on the cake tester.
- For brownies that are more cake-like, the cake tester will come out clean. This usually requires baking several minutes longer.

These are the best cream cheese brownies and will feed quite a few people. They are thick, chewy, and so delish.
You can cut the pieces small and feed a large crowd, such as a church potluck, or an office or holiday party.
