  1. I have shelves of Homestyle Cookbooks. I am a cookbook nutty collector. My husband said when Hurricane Katrina came through Louisiana: “The house didn’t blow away because all those cookbooks held it down!” Now I can’t pass up recipes online. I may not try them all, I just love reading them now because, at 82, I only cook for myself since my hubby of 52 years has gone to his Heavenly home. He’s probably up there laughing at me for still reading recipes and trying one every now and then!! Or baking a new chocolate cake recipe for our son’s birthday even though I don’t like choc. cake!:)

That’s so cute that the cookbooks held the house down. Love it! It is fun to read the recipes. I bet your husband is eating a delicious slice of pie while he giggles! You know that Heavenly cooking is going to be so good. ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. @Julie Pollitt, Yes, indeed. Have a great weekend and keep on reading and posting your great recipes.
I should leave all my cookbooks to you….no one else to leave them to, my son eats whatever he wants and does not cook. He can make good biscuits and chicken dumplings so other than that he eats what his wife has time to make!!
      Love and Hugs,
