How To Make The Dinner

Beef and pork in a slow cooker

Start by adding the beef and sausage to the slow cooker. I will crumble the two together and mix them up a little.

One of the great things about this recipe is that you can stick the beef and sausage in the Crock Pot frozen, and they will cook just as well.

Spaghetti sauce and beef in a Crock Pot

Next, add the spaghetti and Alfredo sauce to the slow cooker and mix to coat the meat. Place the lid on top and set the timer for seven hours on the low temperature.

Noodles in the Crock Pot

After seven hours, add the elbow macaroni noodles to the cooker and stir until they are covered. There will be enough liquid from the meat cooking and the sauces that you shouldn’t have to add any water to cook the noodles.

Cook the noodles for about 30-45 minutes on low or until they are tender.

Once the noodles are cooked the dish is ready to serve!

Optional Ingredients

  • Shredded cheddar cheese – add this in at the end and stir to heat it up and melt the cheese.
  • Parmesan cheese – You can get it grated or shredded for this recipe.
  • Cream cheese – add some at the beginning of the cooking process for a creamy flavor.

Notes

You can use less beef if you don't want two pounds.
You can add frozen meat to the Crock Pot, but cook for the full seven hours and break up the meat before adding the noodles. If you are home, you can go in and break it up about three hours into the cooking. If not, you can do it when you return home.
