BBQ Beef Recipe
Grease the slow cooker and add the chuck roast to the pot.
To make the homemade barbecue sauce, add ketchup and Worcestershire sauce to a medium-sized bowl.
Next, add the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and dried minced onion to the bowl. You can use fresh onion, but I like the flavor of minced onion. I buy it in the spice section at the grocery store.
Now, add the mustard, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, and chili powder to the bowl and mix well.
Pour the BBQ sauce over the chuck roast and place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook for eight hours on low.
Once the food cooks, shred the beef and serve. If it seems like there’s a lot of liquid, you can take a cup and scoop a little bit of the liquid out of the pot. You can also put some of the meat in a strainer and strain some of the liquid off before serving.
