Step-By-Step Instructions

Start by adding the frozen potatoes to the Crock Pot. Next, add the French onion dip and condensed cream of cheese soup.

Next, add the salt, pepper, garlic, and butter. Slice the cheese and place it on top of the potatoes. Place the lid on top and cook on high for three hours. You can cook it on low, but be sure to check it out after about five hours.

More Ways To Make The Potato Dish

If you want to make it a dinner, you can add a pound of cooked ground beef or sausage. You can add the cooked beef or sausage at the end of the dish, mix it all together, and serve it.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Store any leftovers in an airtight container and keep them refrigerated. To reheat the potatoes, add them to a microwave-safe dish and reheat for 2-3 minutes in the microwave.

Ingredients
  

  • 32 ounce bag frozen diced potatoes
  • 16 ounces French onion dip
  • 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup
  • 8 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Grease the inside of a Crock Pot.
  • Add the potatoes to the Crock Pot.
  • Next, add the French onion dip, condensed cheese soup, garlic, salt, pepper, and butter.
  • Slice the cheese into large chunks and place the slices on top.
  • Place the lid on the top of the Crock Pot and cook on the high heat setting for three hours. Stir and serve.
  • Optional: Add cooked ground beef or sausage at the end and mix well. Serve.

  1. I think that in the recipe card version, of this recipe, you accidentally omitted the cheddar (or whatever kind of) cheese and how much of it, you meant to slice on top. Could you let me know the type and how much to use? It looks delicious. I like all these flavors. I want to make it, but make it right. Thank you.
