You can get those same delicious flavors in this simple dump cake-type recipe.

It comes out perfect every time and is ideal for anyone, whether you’re new to baking or you’ve simply got too much on your plate to do it all from scratch. 

Made with a box of cake mix and a couple of other things, you’ll soon have a pumpkin spice latte in the form of a cake, a glorious fall-flavored delight that absolutely no one can resist!

How To Make Pumpkin Cake

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add the cake mix, eggs, and pumpkin puree to a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  3. Spread the cake in the pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Allow the cake to cool and frost.

Start by adding the spice cake mix to a large mixing bowl.

Spread the pumpkin cake into the greased baking dish. The cake will be very thick, and it will bake pretty much exactly like you spread it.

Bake the cake for about 25-30 minutes. The cake will be done when a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean.

Once the cake cools, you can frost it with your favorite frosting.

Ingredients
  

  • 15.25 ounce box of spice cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 15 ounce can of pumpkin puree NOT pumpkin pie filling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine cake mix, eggs, and pumpkin puree in a large mixing bowl and mix until combined.
  • Spread the cake batter into the cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool and top with frosting.

You can store the cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Optional: Add some parchment paper on top of the nonstick cooking spray in the baking dish to help lift the cake out more easily.
