  • Use a dry rub for extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar for more tenderness, and donโ€™t skip the liquid smoke for that BBQ pit taste. Shred it up and pile it high on brioche buns with coleslaw for the best pulled pork sandwich!

Step-By-Step Instructions

I start by cutting some of the larger fat pieces off the meat. Then, add the pork butt to the slow cooker, pour on the liquid smoke, soy sauce, and chicken broth. Finally, top with minced garlic. Place the lid on top and cook on the low heat setting for nine hours.

Once it’s done cooking, shred the pork into small pieces and serve.

You can add BBQ sauce while cooking, or add it after.

Storage And Reheating Instructions

Store any leftover pulled pork in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator.

To reheat, place some pork in an oven-safe dish and add a tablespoon of broth or water to the bottom. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 20-30 minutes at 250 degrees F. The pork needs to reach a temperature of 165 degrees F.
