Step-By-Step Instructions

Start the hot chocolate mix by pouring the milk and heavy cream into the slow cooker.

Next, pour the sweetened condensed milk into the slow cooker, followed by the unsweetened cocoa, and whisk until combined.

Add the vanilla extract to the slow cooker. Finally, add the milk chocolate chips to the slow cooker and stir. Place the lid on top and cook on the low-temperature setting for two hours, stirring occasionally.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups 2% milk
  • 1ยฝ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ยผ cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

Notes

The hot chocolate is very rich and decadent. If you want the recipe a little less chocolatey, you can leave out the unsweetened cocoa.
If you’d like the recipe a little less rich, only use one cup of heavy whipping cream.
Add one teaspoon of peppermint extract if you want to make it a peppermint hot chocolate. Add more to taste.ย
