Crock Pot Hot Chocolate

There's nothing better than decadent Crock Pot hot chocolate made with simple ingredients. The recipe is perfect for the holiday season and will stay hot at your next party in the Crock Pot.

Equipment

  • 6 quart Crock Pot with a warm setting
  • 1 whisk

Ingredients

  • 6 cups 2% milk
  • cups heavy whipping cream
  • 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add the milk, heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and unsweetened cocoa to the slow cooker and whisk until combined.
  • Next, add the chocolate chips and stir.
  • Place the lid on top of the Crock Pot, and set it on the low-temperature setting and cook for two hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir and serve with your favorite toppings. (Stir before each serving).

Notes

The hot chocolate is very rich and decadent. If you want the recipe a little less chocolatey, you can leave out the unsweetened cocoa.
If you'd like the recipe a little less rich, only use one cup of heavy whipping cream.
Add one teaspoon of peppermint extract if you want to make it a peppermint hot chocolate. Add more to taste.
