One Pot Ground Beef Stroganoff Casserole

Ingredients
- Butter
- Diced onions (I used sweet onions, but you can use red onions)
- Sliced mushrooms (if you prefer smaller bites, you can dice them as well)
- Minced garlic
- Ground beef
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Salt
- Ground pepper
- All-purpose flour
- Beef broth
- Sour cream, room temperature
- Dijon mustard
- Egg noodles, cooked
- Crushed croutons (you can also use breadcrumbs)
- Parsley (optional)

Step-By-Step Instructions


Start by gathering your ingredients. Then, if the noodles are not cooked, cook them according to the directions. Drain and set aside. I like to add one tablespoon of butter or oil and mix so the noodles donโt stick together. Or, you can buy the precooked frozen egg noodles.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Melt three tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large, oven-safe skillet. Add onions, mushrooms, and minced garlic. Cook and stir a few times until onions are translucent and mushrooms are softened.
Next, add the ground beef; using a cooking spoon, break it into small pieces and sprinkle in the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked meat, mix, and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.


Pour in the beef broth and mix well. Add the sour cream and Dijon mustard. Mix so all ingredients are combined, and you have a sauce. Bring to a boil.


Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and mix to coat the noodles. Turn the heat off and evenly cover the pasta with crushed croutons. Pour three tablespoons of butter over the crouton crumbs. Then, bake in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
