How To Make The Chicken Casserole

Start by adding the chicken breasts to your slow cooker.

Next, mix the sour cream and condensed soup in a small bowl and spread it over the chicken.

In another small bowl, add the crushed Ritz Crackers and melted butter and toss until the crackers are coated.

Spread the buttery crackers on top of the soups. Cover with the Crock Pot lid and cook on high for four hours or low for eight hours.

Once the meal is done cooking, you can shred the tender chicken or leave it whole and serve. I like to serve it over mashed potatoes or rice.

your recipes for the most part sound good but they are so hard for me to get to them then I see bits and pieces of the recipe with lots of ads popping up in the middle of them. Aldo I most definitely don’t have any buttons to allow me to save or have it sent to my email as a full recipe instead of bits and pieces of a recipe. I also need easier recipes as I’m 72 and cannot do long complicated recipes. thank you 💕. Karen
Hi Karen,
If you click on the “Jump To Recipe” button at the top it will take you right to the recipe card. Once you see the recipe card there are a couple of options. You can print the recipe or save it. It will ask for your email to save it, but you will be able to save any recipe that you would like. Plus, if you go to another site and they have the heart on their site, you can save theirs as well. Easy to make and delicious to eat.
Thank you! I love this recipe!
Just came across this recipe and it sounds delicious. I make this quite a lot but in the oven. Question, how do you keep the crackers from getting soggy?
Thank you, Darlene!
Some of the crackers are going to get soggy. You can do a couple of things – you can stick the Crock Pot under the broiler in the oven for a few short minutes to crisp them up again. Just make sure your Crock Pot can go in the oven and keep a watch on it as it can burn fast. You can also add some more Ritz Crackers on the top after the dish is done. Hope that helps!
We had this for dinner tonight. Very good and very easy to put together. Once again, I had my girls make it as they cook once a week. I like using Julie’s recipes because my kids can look at her pictures and read her instructions. We all liked it. Thank you, Julie.
I just love so much that you are doing this with your girls! How fun! And you are making such great memories! Thank you so much for sharing!! If you’d like to, submit a picture of you all cooking, I would love to share it on my Facebook page and in the email that goes out. You can send it to juliepollitt@backtomysouthernrooots.com
