Step-By-Step Instructions

Start by adding the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. Sprinkle the minced onion, garlic powder, rosemary, parsley, and oregano over the top. Next, pour the heavy cream and chicken broth over the chicken.

Place the lid on top and cook for 7-1/2 hours on the low heat setting.

After 7-1/2 hours, sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top and cook for 30 more minutes. The liquid in the Crock Pot is not thick.

TIP: If you want it thicker, dip some of the liquid out of the Crock Pot, add one tablespoon of cornstarch, mix it up, and pour it back in. Let it cook for 30 more minutes, and the liquid will be slightly thicker.

Once the chicken cooks, you can either take it out whole or shred it.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Any leftover slow cooker cheesy chicken can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated. To reheat, add some to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for two to three minutes or until the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.

  • 1 Tablespoon corn starch OPTIONAL

Instructions
 

  • Add the chicken to the slow cooker.

  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Place the lid on top of the slow cooker and cook for 7-1/2 hours.
  • After 7-1/2 hours, sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top and cook another 30 minutes.
  • Finally, take out the chicken and serve, or shred and serve.
  • OPTIONAL at 7 hours and 30 minutes: If you want to make the liquid thicker, dip out one cup, mix it with the tablespoon of cornstarch, pour it back into the slow cooker, and cook for 30 more minutes.
