Step-By-Step Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Next, grab a large skillet or saucepan and melt some butter. Then, sautรฉ the mushrooms and remove the pan from the heat. Add the sour cream, cheddar cheese, picante sauce, rice, and chicken and mix to combine.

If your skillet is oven-safe, add it to the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes. If not, add the ingredients to the casserole dish and bake for the same amount of time.

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • ยพ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 16 ounce jar of picante sauce
  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1 ยฝ cups of chicken breast cooked and diced.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (If using a casserole dish, grease it now).
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet or saucepan on the stovetop. Next, add the mushrooms and saute. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Add the sour cream, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, picante sauce, rice, and chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • If your skillet is oven-safe, top the chicken mixture with the remaining shredded cheese and place it in the oven. If using a casserole dish, pour the ingredients into the greased dish and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  • Bake dish for 25-30 minutes.
