Supporting Pork Farmers
I love supporting farmers across the country and buying pork does just that. It helps support those farms and their families in Iowa and the U.S.
When you buy pork from the grocery store, you can be sure it is helping local families. Plus, you’re getting a meal packed with nutrition, including plenty of protein. Did you know that pork has tons of potassium, B vitamins, and magnesium? So you know you’re feeding your family well. And the ribs taste amazing!

How To Make The Ribs
Flip the ribs over on their backside and peel the skin off.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place the ribs on the foil. Next, grab your favorite rub and rub it on both sides of the ribs. Place the ribs meat side up and cover the cookie sheet with more aluminum foil. Bake for two hours at 350 degrees. Be sure to use a cookie sheet with sides because there will be some liquid as the ribs cook.
After the ribs have baked for two hours, remove them from the oven and remove the top layer of aluminum foil. Turn the oven heat up to 450 degrees.
Mix BBQ sauce, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium-sized bowl. Spread it generously over the top of the ribs. Place the ribs back in the oven without covering them. Bake another 10-15 minutes or until the ribs begin to get dark. Turn the heat up to broil during the last couple of minutes to help caramelize the BBQ sauce. But watch them closely as they will burn fast.
Let them sit for about 5 minutes before serving to help the juices redistribute.
What Temperature Do The Ribs Need To Be?
Ribs need to reach 145-185 degrees. Because you are cooking for two hours, they will get hotter, which is fine. To test the temperature, you can use a digital meat thermometer and stick it into the meat. Make sure you don’t let it touch the pan or the bone, or you will get an incorrect reading.
Storage and Reheating
For best results, you can reheat the ribs in the oven. Place the ribs in aluminum foil and cook in a 350-degree oven. They will take between 15 and 30 minutes to heat up. Check the temperature with a digital thermometer.
