What I Love About This Recipe
- It only takes a few minutes to prep the pot roast recipe.
- You only need five ingredients for the recipe (plus a side to serve such as mashed potatoes or rice).

Step-By-Step Instructions

Place your chuck roast in the Crock Pot and cover all sides with flour. It’s ok if there is still some flour in the bottom.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix and gravy mix on top of the chuck roast. Next, pour the ginger ale all over the meat. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 10 hours.
If you have a smaller cut of beef you can lower the cooking time to eight hours. You’ll want to cook it until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.

You can serve the tender chuck roast over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice. You will end up with a deliciously thick gravy to spread over the beef.
