Step-By-Step Instructions

Place your chuck roast in the Crock Pot and cover all sides with flour. It’s ok if there is still some flour in the bottom.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix and gravy mix on top of the chuck roast. Next, pour the ginger ale all over the meat. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 10 hours.

If you have a smaller cut of beef you can lower the cooking time to eight hours. You’ll want to cook it until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.

You can serve the tender chuck roast over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice. You will end up with a deliciously thick gravy to spread over the beef.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 pound prime chuck roast
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ounce packet onion soup mix (dry)
  • .87 ounce packet brown gravy mix (dry)
  • 16 ounces ginger ale

Instructions
 

  • Add the chuck roast to the Crock Pot and sprinkle the flour on every side and rub it in with your hands. (It's ok if there is a little flour left in the bottom of the pot).
  • Sprinkle the soup and gravy mix over the chuck roast.
  • Pour the ginger ale over the top of the beef. You can take a fork and mix up some of the flour at the bottom in the ginger ale so it doesn't get clumpy.
  • Cover with the lid and cook on the low setting for 10 hours.
  • Shred the beef and serve.
