- 3-4 pound prime chuck roast
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ounce packet onion soup mix (dry)
- .87 ounce packet brown gravy mix (dry)
- 16 ounces ginger ale
Add the chuck roast to the Crock Pot and sprinkle the flour on every side and rub it in with your hands. (It's ok if there is a little flour left in the bottom of the pot).
Sprinkle the soup and gravy mix over the chuck roast.
Pour the ginger ale over the top of the beef. You can take a fork and mix up some of the flour at the bottom in the ginger ale so it doesn't get clumpy.
Cover with the lid and cook on the low setting for 10 hours.
Shred the beef and serve.
Nutrition is approximate.
If you have a smaller piece of chuck roast you can cook it for eight hours on low, or until the meat is tender and falling apart.
