Valentine Chocolate Pretzel Treats - Back To My Southern Roots

Pretzel treats are a fun and easy dessert to take to a party, give to a friend, or just eat yourself. One of the teachers at my son’s school gave me some shirts, and I wanted to send her a special thank you, so I made a few of these, and they turned out so delicious. I love the combination of the salty and sweet.

Step 1: Lay the pretzels out on the pan. The great thing about Snyder’s Pretzels is that I only used about 1/3 of the bag. There are still a ton of pretzels left over. So, if I needed to make a lot more, there are plenty more in the bag.

Step 2: Lay the chocolate disks on top of the pretzels. I bought the pink and red chocolate disks at a store that sells in bulk. It’s nice because I can get a lot or a little. They had some other colors to choose from, but I thought these colors were perfect for Valentine’s Day. I added some Hershey Kisses in the corner to see how those would turn out.

Note: If you’re planning to do a lot of the treats, take the time to test out the different colors before you buy a lot of them. In this case, the red ones melted better than the pink disks. The pink disks broke up a tad when I pressed down with the white chocolate candies. The red melted perfectly.

Step 3: Place the treats in the oven for approximately 5 minutes on 225-degrees.

When the chocolate disks are soft enough to press the white chocolate candy on top, they are done.

Step 4: Press the white chocolate candies down on top. (Don’t mind the empty spot where I took one out to eat it–I mean test it).

Step 5: Place them in the fridge for about 10 minutes until they harden. I left them out on the counter for about a half an hour to make sure they were good and hard.

That’s it! You’re done and it’s time to enjoy them.
