Step-By-Step Instructions For Quiche
Grab your frozen pie shell and place it on the counter.
Measure your ingredients.
Add your diced veggies to the pie crust.
For this recipe, I bought a package of pre-cut veggies. I did end up cutting them a little more, but it’s not necessary.
You can use your favorite veggies, but I used red bell peppers, green bell peppers, and onions.
Next, add your hash browns to the crust.
I bought frozen hash browns for the recipe.
Sprinkle your shredded cheddar cheese on top.
You can use your favorite cheese for the recipe. Here are some options:
- Cheddar cheese (sharp or mild)
- Mozzarella cheese
- Pepper Jack cheese
- Vegetarian cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Mexican blend cheese
Add the turkey sausage to the crust.
Give everything a little toss with your hands to mix it up.
I bought some pre-cooked turkey sausage for the recipe because it makes life easier, and I didn’t have to cook it.
You can cook your own meat for the recipe. Here are a few choices:
- Ground beef
- Ground turkey
- Bacon
- Pork sausage
- Turkey sausage
In a small bowl, add the eggs, salt, and pepper and whisk.
Pour the milk into the bowl and mix.
Milk is another ingredient that you can change if you want to add lower fat milk or a creamier one. Here are some options:
- Whole milk
- Half and half
- Almond milk
- Heavy cream
- Skim milk
Gently pour the quiche filling into the pie crust and stir to mix up the ingredients.
TIP: Place the pie crust on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil. If you happen to spill some of the egg mixture while carrying it to the oven, it won’t get all over the place. And clean up will be much easier.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until the quiche is golden brown on top and around the edges.
Slice and serve.

Do I Have To Use A Crust?
You do not have to use a crust for the recipe. A crustless quiche recipe is a great way to make the recipe a low-carb one.
I would still use a pie pan or an 8″ x 8″ greased baking dish to bake the quiche. The cooking time might vary a little so be sure to check on the dish while baking.
