It is based on my Grandpa Frank’s amazing red sauce, or gravy or whatever you call the red stuff you put on spaghetti or pasta. My Rhode Island born, best friend who’s 100% Italian and I have had “arguments” about what this sauce is called; she always called it gravy and I called it spaghetti sauce.
Gravy for me is that brown stuff you pour over mashed potatoes, but regardless of what you call it; gather the ingredients and make it; East or West Coast!
If you’re obsessed with squash noodles as much as I am, then you’ll absolutely love this Low Carb Spaghetti Squash Spaghetti Bake. It’s packed with veggies, perfect spaghetti squash noodles, and has only 10g net carbs!
Preparing vegan spaghetti bolognese has never been easier! All you need are the right ingredients and substitutes, so make sure you have everything ready before cooking. Instead of using meat such as minced beef, you use pulses.
In this case I use adzuki beans but lentils can be used as well. You won’t even notice the difference between a traditional bolognese recipe and this vegan spaghetti bolognese. Enjoy!
Pressure Cooker Spaghetti And Homemade Meatballs is a one-pot meal that tastes like it’s been slow cooking for hours, but comes together in about 30 minutes, give or take a few minutes depending on how fast you make the meatballs.
If you’re not familiar with the term Bolognese, it is basically a thick meaty tomato sauce. Like many terms, we in America have widely adopted this one for our meat sauce used in pasta dishes. This sauce is perfect over spaghetti or other pasta of choice. It can also be used in a lasagna dish.
Spaghetti al limone has a wonderful fresh summer taste, with an intense lemony flavour. Close your eyes and you can even imagine you are eating it sitting on a terrace overlooking the sea on the Amalfi coast or Capri!
Baked Chicken Spaghetti is a hearty and delicious meal with a white mushroom-based sauce, so full of flavour thanks to the peppers, cheese and spices. The best part is it’s a baked spaghetti, with bits of crispy cheese!
Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs is a one pot dump and push meal, using pantry items and frozen meatballs and ready in under 15 minutes. Meatballs can be bagged from the store, or homemade raw, then frozen meatballs.
There aren’t many comforts of home I miss when we’re out camping. Sure, a regular toilet would be nice. Maybe a 10 or 15 minute hot shower so I can shave my legs? (Nah… I really don’t miss that part at all!)
But I do sometimes miss good old comfort food that’s been simmering on the stove for hours. And homemade spaghetti sauce is right up there at the top of the list! But we all know by now that I’m all about easy camping meals.
Simple Garlic and Butter Shrimp Spaghetti is a perfect weeknight meal that breaks the boredom of “the same old thing” for dinner! This shrimp spaghetti dish can be on the table in less than half an hour and clean up is easy, too.
Baked spaghetti pasta, taco flavored ground beef, a diced tomato and chili sauce and gooey layers of Mexican cheese brought together to create this delicious family pleasing TACO SPAGHETTI BAKE. All the flavors of a taco baked into a pasta casserole dish!
I love how versatile pasta dishes can be: you can have a rich, hearty meal like this lentil spaghetti bolognese perfect for cosy nights in, or you can have a light, summery pesto pasta dish that leaves you satiated but not stuffed.
While traveling through the Umbria region of Italy, I came across more and more dishes using one of the prized ingredients of this area – white truffles. People seem to have either a strong dislike or an intense love for this pungent ingredient. I fall into the strongly enamored group. Which is one reason I was so excited to plant my feet here and start eating – and cooking.
This truffled pasta dish is designed in layers of flavor. The warm pasta is tossed with the white truffle cream (made with porcini mushrooms and white truffles).
This authentic Sicilian pasta recipe is so easy and it takes only 5 ingredients to make it! Spaghetti Siciliana is a fiery mix of hot pasta mixed with lots of garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, chillies and olive oil. Simple and gorgeous!

Granddad’s Spaghetti, my favorite comfort food of all time. This is a baked spaghetti dish that my great grandfather made, and my grandmother and mom and aunts continued to make it and pass down the recipe. Kind of an interesting story behind the origins of this Italian baked spaghetti recipe.
