The Ultimate Quick and Easy Holiday Party Snacks

I’m always looking for a delicious chocolately treat to make for holiday parties. I’m not one to make something that takes a while or needs a lot of decorating. I can’t say that I have the steadiest of hands, and on occasion things that look great on Pinterest end up looking like the cat dragged it in after I get done with it.

My friend (who also used to be my next door neighbor – I miss living next door to her) shared a recipe with me that looked like such a fun idea for Christmas. I ended up doing things a little differently than her recipe. She uses a Snyder pretzel, a small chocolate disk, and an M&M.

I didn’t want to run to three different stores to get all the ingredients, so I decided I would try something fun and use Andes Mints and Rolos.

I put down some tin foil so that the chocolate wouldn’t be too hard to clean off of the pan. I have a sad, scary looking pan underneath that I hope to replace someday, but it works for now.

If you're looking for a quick and easy treat to make for your next holiday party, this is the way to go. Pretzels, Rolos, M&M's, and Andes Mints are all you need to make a couple of trays full of a salty sweet treat.

From one 16-ounce bag, I had enough to make two trays full of pretzel treats easily. I laid them out neatly so that they were easy to load up with the goods. Normally, I am not this organized, but it helps when they are laid out neatly.

I forgot to take a picture before I stuck the tray in the oven, so they are a little melted in this picture. I put them in a 225-degree oven and cooked them for about 5 minutes. That was plenty. Your oven may take a couple of minutes longer, so keep an eye on them.

Once you take them out of the oven, place one M&M on each Rolo. They turn out so cute.

Sprinkle the M&M’s on the mints and press down gently to make sure they stay on when they cool.

If you’re making this for a party on the same day, be sure to give them plenty of time to cool and harden again. I would say you need at least one hour.

This is also a very inexpensive treat to make. I got the M&M’s as a BOGO. You can get away with two bags of M&M’s, one bag of Rolos (with some to spare), one bag of pretzels, and one bag of Andes Mints.
