Make-Ahead Tips

  1. One-pot Ground Beef Stroganoff Casserole
    • Brown the beef, sautee the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Then, make the sauce and add it to the beef mixture. Keep it refrigerated for 1-2 days. When you’re ready to bake it, simply add the cooked noodles, croutons, and butter.
  2. 20-Minute Bean Soup
    • You can make the recipe and keep it refrigerated for several days.
  3. Air-Fryer Turkey Tenderloin
    • Season the tenderloin and keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Then, add it to the air fryer when you’re ready to cook it.
  4. Crock Pot Cheeseburger Soup
    • This one can be cooked and then refrigerated for several days.
  5. Cheese, Potato, and Smoked Sausage Casserole
    • Cube and boil the potatoes and set aside. Slice and brown the sausage and store it with the potatoes in the refrigerator.
    • Prepare the sauce and add it to its own container. Don’t add to the sausage and potatoes yet.
    • When ready, assemble the dish, pour the sauce over the potatoes and sausage, and bake according to the directions.

Reheating Like A Pro

Reheating Like A Pro

  • Reheat low & slow – Keeping the oven temperature at 300–325°F or the stovetop on low keeps food from drying out.
  • Add a splash of broth or milk to help revive soups, casseroles, or pasta dishes.
  • Stir halfway through reheating to make sure everything gets heated evenly.

Freezer & Fridge Best Practices

  • Use airtight containers or freezer bags – Push out as much air as possible to prevent freezer burn.
  • Portion before freezing – Smaller portions thaw faster and more evenly.
  • Avoid freezing dairy-heavy sauces before cooking – Dairy can sometimes separate; if possible, add cream, sour cream, or cheese after reheating.
