Pie Filling Ingredients

  • Graham cracker crust (not part of the filling)
  • Softened cream cheese
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Shredded sweet coconut
  • Crushed pineapple, drained
  • Sliced maraschino cherries
  • Chopped pecans
  • Lemon juice
  • Whipped topping

Step-By-Step Instructions

Pouring sweetened condensed milk into a clear glass mixing bowl.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a large mixing bowl. I used Eagle Brand for this sweet treat, but you can use your favorite brand, including generic.

Next, add the cream cheese and beat with a hand mixer until the two ingredients are combined and there are no more lumps.

Drain the pineapple juice and add the crushed pineapple to the bowl.

Add the shredded coconut.

Slice the cherries in half and add to the bowl.

Add the chopped pecans.

Pour the lemon juice into the bowl and mix the ingredients.

Cool Whip in a bowl with the ingredients for millionaire pie. There's a red spatula in the bowl.

Fold in the whipped topping. For this recipe, I used Cool Whip, but you can also make your own and add it.

Pour the pie into the graham cracker crust and refrigerate for at least two hours.

For the crust, you can choose to make a homemade graham cracker crust or buy a prepared graham cracker pie crust. If your graham cracker crust is a little crumbly, it will soften up after you add the pie.

It’s a wonderful icebox pie that really brings joy in every bite and is a dream come true for anyone who isn’t up for baking on a hot day.

Can I Make A Homemade Crust?

Yes, you can make your own graham cracker crust with graham crackers and melted butter. You will need a 9-inch pie plate.

  • Slices of oranges
  • Coconut flakes instead of shredded
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Walnuts

Ingredients
  

  • Store-bought graham cracker crust-I used a 10-inch/9-ounce crust.
  • 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded sweet coconut
  • 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple drained
  • 6 ounces of sliced maraschino cherries
  • 3 Tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 ounce container of Cool Whip
  • Additional Cool Whip for topping, if desired

Instructions
 

  • Add the sweetened condensed milk and cream cheese to a large bowl and mix with an electric mixer.
  • Next, add the shredded coconut, crushed pineapple, cherries, lemon juice, and pecans and mix.
  • Add the Cool Whip and fold in.
  • Pour the pie into the pie crust and refrigerate for at least two hours.
