- 2-3 pounds boneless pork roast
- 3 Granny Smith apples
- One small onion
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 tablespoons butter
Slice the onions and two apples and add them to the bottom of the slow cooker. (Do not use the apple cores).
Place the pork on top of the onions and apples. Add the slices from the third apple to the top of the pork.
Sprinkle the cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper on top of the ingredients.
Slice the butter and place the cubes between the apple slices.
Place the lid on top and cook on high for four hours or low for eight hours.
The longer you cook the pork, the more tender it will be. I recommend cooking it for the full eight hours on low.
I purchased 2.6 pounds of pork and it fed six people.
