Sausage Bake with Hash Browns

Sausage bake with hash browns is a great breakfast recipe for any day of the week, but especially perfect on a lazy Saturday morning or around the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 3/4 cup diced onions
  • 30 oz. bag shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350-degrees.
  • Add the sausage and onions to a skillet and cook until the sausage is done and the onions are translucent.
  • Drain the grease.
  • Add the hash browns to the skillet, as well as salt, and pepper, toss and cook for five minutes.
  • Next, add the mozzarella cheese to the skillet and toss.
  • Spread the sausage bake into a 9" x 13" greased baking dish and cover with tin foil.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, remove the tin foil and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese and hash browns are golden.
