Ingredients

  • 15 ounce can chickpeas garbanzo beans
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon juice from garbanzo beans more if needed
  • Pinch of paprika for the top

Instructions

  • Add the canned chickpeas to the Cuisinart.
  • Next, add the garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and extra virgin olive oil and process.
  • Add juice from beans if the hummus is too thick.
  • Spoon into a bowl and serve.

Notes

The following ingredients are great to serve with the homemade hummus recipe:
  • Sliced red bell peppers
  • Tortillas chips
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Top with some sliced jalapeños
  • Any fresh vegetables to dip in the hummus
