Ingredients

Rub

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Pork

  • 3 pounds country-style boneless pork ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite
  • 1 white onion sliced
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Start by mixing the rub ingredients in a bowl and rubbing all over the pork ribs.
  • Next, heat olive oil in a Dutch oven on medium heat on the stovetop. Add the pork ribs and sear each one for about one minute on each side. Remove the pork ribs and set aside.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the Dutch oven and scrape the bottom with a wooden spoon.
  • Add the onions, carrots, and pork. Pour the BBQ sauce on top and spread it all over.
  • Place the lid on top.
  • Cook at 350 degrees for one hour.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 300 degrees and cook for one more hour.
