Ingredients
1Tablespoonbutter
1/3cupdiced onion
1Tablespoonminced garlic
2poundsground beef
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonblack pepper
1/2cupsour cream
10.5ouncecan condensed cream of chicken soup
2 1/2cupsshredded cheddar cheese
1/2cupmilk
28ouncebag frozen tater tots
Instructions
Spray the inside of the Crock Pot with nonstick cooking spray.
Cook the onions and garlic in a large skillet on medium heat until translucent (about five minutes).
Next, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain the grease.
Add the salt and pepper, sour cream, soup, milk, and one cup of cheese and mix well.
Add about 1/2 of the tater tots to the bottom of the Crock Pot and spread them out.
Pour the meat mixture over the tater tots and spread it out.
Top with the remaining cheese.
Next, top with the rest of the tater tots.
Place the lid on top and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.
If you want crispy tater tots at the end, remove the lid and place the crock in the oven for about five minutes on the broil setting. Make sure your crock is safe in the oven. (Do not add the entire Crock Pot or lid).
