- 8 cube steaks
- 1 ounce onion soup mix
- 10.5 ounce condensed cream of chicken soup
- 10.5 ounce condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 onion sliced
- 8 ounces beef broth
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
Add the soups and dry onion soup mix to a bowl and mix to combine.
Slice the onions and place them at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Next, place the cube steaks on top of the onions.
Spread the soup mixture over the cube steaks and pour the beef broth into the cooker.
Place the lid on top and cook on low for seven hours or high for 3.5 hours.
After cooking, mix the cornstarch and water, pour it into the cooker, and stir a little around the cube steak to mix it in.
Replace the lid and cook one more hours to thicken the gravy.
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
You can use two cans of chicken soup if you don't like mushroom soup.
Be sure to mix the cornstarch into the water so there are no lumps, or the gravy will not thicken.
