Chess Squares Without Cake Mix

The best chess squares don't have to be traditional. No need for a box of cake mix, just grab some lady fingers and get started on this delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 package lady fingers
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300-degrees.
  • Grease a 9" x 9" casserole dish and line with lady fingers.
  • Add the cream cheese and eggs to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Mix together.
  • Now, add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and mix together.
  • Pour over lady fingers and bake for 40 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean.
