Ingredients

Chicken Strips

  • 2 pounds chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Gravy

  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

Chicken Strips

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
  • Add the Panko, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to a bowl and mix.
  • Pour the buttermilk into another medium-sized bowl. Dredge the chicken into the buttermilk and then into the Panko mixture.
  • Place the chicken strips into the air fryer, making sure you don't crowd them.
  • Cook for 15-17 minutes, turning halfway. Make sure the inside of the fattest chicken strip reaches 165 degrees.

Gravy

  • Start the gravy when the chicken strips only have a few minutes left to cook.
  • Melt the butter in a medium-sized saucepan.
  • Next, add the flour, salt, and pepper to the melted butter and whisk. It will be clumpy.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the saucepan and whisk. Continue whisking until all the lumps are gone and the gravy is thick.
