Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 16 ounces beef OR chicken broth + more if needed
  • cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef, minced onion, and minced garlic to a large skillet and cook on medium heat.
  • Drain the grease.
  • Add the egg noodles, broth, and heavy cream and mix. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
  • Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted.

Notes

If the noodles are not tender after cooking for 10 minutes, you can add more broth to the skillet. 
Optional Substitute: Use 1% or 2% milk for less fat instead of heavy cream.
