Ingredients
Kentucky Butter Cake

cup
butter
softened

sugar

eggs

vanilla

all-purpose flour

salt

baking soda

baking powder
1
cup
buttermilk
Butter Glaze
1/3
cup
butter
3/4
cup
sugar
2
Tablespoons
water
2
teaspoons
vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325-degrees.
Grease and flour a bundt pan.
Kentucky Butter Cake
Add the butter and sugar to a large bowl and mix together.
Add the eggs, vanilla, and flour and mix.
Add the salt, baking soda, and baking powder and mix together.
Add the buttermilk to the batter and mix together.
Pour into the greased and floured bundt pan.
Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean.
Cool.
Poke a few holes in the cake with a knife.
Butter Glaze
Add the butter and sugar to a saucepan and mix together.
Add the water and vanilla and mix.
Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour the glaze over the cake.
Cool, invert the cake, and serve.
Notes
You can store the cake in an airtight container or cover it with some plastic wrap. The cake does not need to be refrigerated.
