Homemade Turkey Gravy from Drippings

Craft the best homemade turkey gravy with this simple recipe, using drippings from your roast turkey.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fat from the drippings
  • 2 cups drippings liquid
  • 1 Tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the fat and the drippings to a sauce pan or skillet.
  • Add the heavy cream and all-purpose flour and whisk in.
  • Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Stir on medium to medium-high until gravy is thick.

Notes

Add one more spoonful of flour if not thick enough or a tablespoon of cream if too thick.

You can store any leftover gravy in an airtight container and refrigerate it. To best way to reheat, is to reheat in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between. Be sure to use a microwave-safe bowl.
