Homemade Strawberry Syrup
Homemade Strawberry Syrup is an easy recipe that takes about 15 minutes to make. It's perfect on shortcake, angel food cake, pancakes, or ice cream.

- 1/2 pound strawberries ripe, cut up, and clean
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Add the strawberries, sugar, and vanilla to a saucepan on medium to high-heat.
Stir the ingredients together and mash the strawberries with a masher.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes.
Remove from heat and use, or store in a jar.
