Easy Stuffed Bell Peppers

Stuffed bell peppers are an easy recipe to make with the combination of sausage, shredded mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo creating a tasty dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400-degrees.
  • Cover a cookie sheet with tin foil.
  • Rinse off the bell peppers and slice off the tops. Clean the seeds out of the peppers and scrape out the membranes.
  • In a large bowl, add the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
  • Add half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Next, add the sausage and mix well.
  • Stuff the peppers and place them on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the peppers, sprinkle the remainder of the cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and browned.

TIP: I used a 9.6 oz. package of pre-cooked Jimmy Dean sausage to save on time.
