Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt and ground black pepper
  • 2 cups of turkey broth
  • 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Canned chicken broth if needed

Instructions

  • Strain liquid through the top of a fat separator. (I used liquid from a turkey I cooked in the Crock Pot).
  • Add the butter to a medium saucepan and melt on medium heat.
  • Next, add the flour and whisk the two ingredients together. It will be lumpy.
  • Pour in the liquid from the fat separator and whisk until the lumps are gone.
  • Boil the gravy on medium to medium-high heat, stirring often.
  • Continue stirring until the gravy thickens, and serve.

Notes

If the gravy gets too thick, add a little more liquid. If it is not thick enough, add a small amount of flour and stir to thicken. Cook a little longer.
If you need more liquid, you can use chicken broth.
