- 2 pounds snipped fresh green beans
- 2 to 3 pounds fully cooked boneless smoked ham
- 1/2 white onion diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 2 to 3 cups water as needed
Spray the slow cooker with some nonstick cooking spray.
Rinse off the green beans and snap them in half. Add them to the slow cooker.
Dice the onions and add to the cooker.
Slice the ham into cubes and add to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the top of the ingredients.
Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker and give the ingredients a stir.
If you need more liquid so it covers the green beans, add some water until the green beans are covered.
Cover with the lid and cook on low for eight hours or high for four hours.
