Ingredients

Dressing

  • 1/3 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salad

  • 20 to 25 ounces sweet peas frozen or fresh
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup red onion diced
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Take the peas out of the freezer.
  • Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch dressing, sugar, salt, and black pepper to a large bowl and mix well.
  • Add the bacon, onions, eggs, and shredded cheese to the bowl and mix.
  • Finally, add the peas to the bowl and mix well.
  • Leave in the refrigerator to thaw for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

I add the frozen peas to the bowl so that they don't mash when mixing. But, you can also use fresh or thawed peas and just mix gently. Either way is fine.
The recipe can be made ahead of time.
