- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 3 cups of Corn Flakes
1. Add the Corn Flakes to a heat-safe bowl and set aside.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or waxed paper.
3. Pour the sugar and corn syrup into a medium saucepan and stir to combine.
4. Bring to a boil on medium heat to medium-high heat. Boil for about two to three minutes or until the sugar is dissolved, stirring often.
5. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the peanut butter.
6. Pour the syrup over the Corn Flakes and stir quickly to coat the cereal.
7. Add spoonfuls to wax paper, still working quickly. Let set up for about 20 minutes.
Make sure you have the Corn Flakes in the bowl and ready, as well as the parchment paper set up and ready to go on the baking sheet. The corn syrup mixture will harden fast, and you need to be ready to stir it in with the Corn Flakes.
You can use your hands to create cookie balls if it cools off a little. Be careful as the syrup can be hot.
I used Karo Syrup for this recipe, but you can also use a generic brand.
