Easy Homemade Southern No-Bean Chili with Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 Tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 white onion diced
  • 10- ounce can of Rotel with diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 14.5- ounce can of diced tomatoes with the liquid
  • 6- ounce can of tomato paste
  • 16 ounces of beef or chicken broth
  • 8 ounces of tomato sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1-2 cups of water

Instructions

  • Add two pounds of ground beef, diced onions, and minced garlic to a large saucepan and cook on medium heat until the meat is brown. Drain the grease.
  • Next, add the tomato paste to the broth and dissolve it. Pour it into the saucepan.
  • Add the Rotel, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings and mix well.
  • Pour in some water if the chili is too thick. Stir and bring to a boil.
  • Once the chili comes to a boil, replace the lid and turn on simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Notes

This can be made in the Crock Pot. Just cook the beef first and add it to the Crock Pot, along with all of the other ingredients and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours.
