- 6 Tablespoons softened butter
- 6 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 Tablespoons heavy cream
Add the softened butter to a medium mixing bowl.
Next, add the cocoa, vanilla extract, and maple syrup and mix.
Add the powdered sugar and heavy cream and mix until all of the lumps are gone.
Spread over brownies or cake.
If the frosting is too thin, add a little more powdered sugar. If it's too thick, add a little heavy cream until it reaches the desired consistency.
If you don't have any maple syrup, you can use Karo syrup instead.
