Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons softened butter
  • 6 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  • Add the softened butter to a medium mixing bowl.
  • Next, add the cocoa, vanilla extract, and maple syrup and mix.
  • Add the powdered sugar and heavy cream and mix until all of the lumps are gone.
  • Spread over brownies or cake.

Notes

If the frosting is too thin, add a little more powdered sugar. If it's too thick, add a little heavy cream until it reaches the desired consistency.
If you don't have any maple syrup, you can use Karo syrup instead.
