5-Ingredient Crock Pot Roast Beef with Onion Gravy
Just five pantry staples turn a chuck roast into fork-tender beef smothered in a rich onion gravy. Just dump it in the slow cooker in the morning and come home to a comforting dinner. It's budget-friendly, beginner-friendly, and one of those back-pocket meals my two hungry kids devour.

- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 ounce packet onion soup mix
- 1 ounce packet brown gravy mix
- 10.5 ounces can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Place the chuck roast in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Sprinkle on the onion soup mix and brown gravy mix
Spread on the cream of mushroom soup, and Worcestershire sauce on top.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the roast is fork-tender.
Shred the beef and give everything a good stir so the meat soaks up the gravy and the gravy thickens.
